Hi! I run Gypsy Herbs. If you're wondering about the person who runs Gypsy Herbs, let me tell you about myself. I have had a fascination with plants and herbal remedies since I was a kid. Unfortunately, I have a brown thumb, but I am very good with medicine. It simply astounds me how much information the ancient world had. Today we base so many modern day medicines on the old herbal knowledges- Asprin based on Willow and Powerful Heart medications, such as Digitalis which is extracted from Foxglove. Most of the medicinal information on this site is pre 1900s
I have been learning about this since I was old enough to write down information from library books so I would have it for later. My formal education includes basic classes in pharmacology, anatomy and physiology, herbalism, and holistic and alternative medicine.
I am not medically qualified to offer medical advice and do not condone forsaking modern medicine when it should be utilized.
